*Exercise and Training Coordinator

The Exercise and Training Coordinator is responsible for tracking and
promoting emergency preparedness training and education programs offered by
the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) Office of Preparedness
and Emergency Management (OPEM) and other state, local, and federal
agencies. The Coordinator will serve as a central source of information for
emergency preparedness education, training, and exercises and drills being
conducted at the federal, state and local levels. The Coordinator will
assist in the development and presentation of trainings on emergency
preparedness topics under the direction of the Planning and Exercise Unit
Administrator. The Exercise Coordinator will respond, when instructed, to
various types of public health related emergencies on a 24/7 basis and will
assist the MDPH with implementing appropriate emergency response plans.

The Coordinator will assist in the development of After Action Reports and
Improvement Plans following exercises and real events. He/she will also
assist in the tracking and implementation of the corrective actions that
are identified in such plans. The Coordinator will participate in the
evaluation of program activities, and will also assist with the development
of the MDPH multi-year training and exercise plans and the deployment of
drills and exercises at the state and local levels.

The Coordinator will assist with preparation of grant applications and the
data collection and preparation of grant progress reports, and other
grant-related activities as requested.





*Health Volunteer Program Coordinator

The Health Volunteer Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing
the planning and coordination for the day-to-day operations of the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) health volunteer program,
including but not limited to administration of MA Responds, an integrated
health volunteer program database. Additionally the Coordinator will assist
in providing training and technical support to database unit
administrators, assisting in recruitment and registration of volunteers,
and assisting senior level MDPH personnel to facilitate and coordinate the
state-level response of public health volunteers during a disaster. The
Coordinator will work with local Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) unit
coordinators to support their participation in MA Responds and their
efforts in recruitment, training, and other tasks as necessary.



*Emergency Planning and Logistics Coordinator (Available next week)*

The Emergency Planning and Logistics Coordinator (Coordinator) assists with
planning and resource coordination for the Massachusetts Department of
Public Health (MDPH) Office of Preparedness and Emergency Management
(OPEM). In this role, the Coordinator will assist with the development,
maintenance and revision of MDPH all-hazard emergency operation plans,
including but not limited to threat-based appendices, continuity of
operations, scenario-specific annexes, and plans to address the needs of
individuals with access or functional needs during emergencies. He/she will
also assist with the update of the MDPH multi-year training and exercise
plan.

The Coordinator will also, as directed, provide technical assistance to the
Health and Medical Coordinating Coalitions (HMCC) stakeholders to support
the development and revision of local and regional health and medical
preparedness plans.
The Coordinator will assist with the preparation of grant applications,
data collection and preparation of grant progress reports. He/she will
assist with other grant-related activities as requested and will perform
other duties as required. The Coordinator will develop a systematic method
for OPEM to evaluate program effectiveness.

The Coordinator will respond, when instructed, to various types of public
health related emergencies on a 24/7 basis and will assist MDPH OPEM with
implementing appropriate emergency response plans.
